Name:   Muna         Best Guess for Breed:  Some type of lab mix Best Guess for Age:  9 months as of December 2024        SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:   15.7 lbs as of December 2024; she still has a bit more to grow   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested if you have them   Currently Living at:  Puerto Rico shelter; scheduled to arrive in the DC area Saturday 12/14   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Muna would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.    Muna is Looking For:  Her forever home! This sweetie started life in Puerto Rico and was rescued as a stray. She was very happy to get off the streets and now belly rubs rank way up there on her ‘love’ list. She definitely wants lots of those in her forever home, along with sniffy walks and world exploration and testing all the toys to see what she likes best. Dog school would be great, too, so she can show how super fast she learns.    Most of all, though, she wants to be safe and loved and under her own roof for all her days. In exchange, she promises adoring gazes and happy tail wags and loyal companionship. What do you say?
