     Meet Nena — A Girl With a Journey and a Heart Full of Hope. This beautiful soul has traveled a long way to find her forever home — all the way from Puerto Rico. When her owner there could no longer care for her, Nena suddenly found herself without anyone. But thanks to a compassionate family connection — a relative here who’s part of our shelter’s extended family — she got her ticket to a brighter future. Now safe at Citrus County Animal Services, Nena is ready to begin the next chapter of her story — one filled with cozy naps, gentle affection, and the comfort of a home to finally call her own. She’s learning about the joys of indoor living and has the sweetest heart just waiting to love someone again. Her sister has already found a wonderful home — now it’s Nena’s turn.
