See Nutmeg’s HomepageGo to our official websiteHello there! I’m Nutmeg, your new bestie! Once upon a time (in 2020) I found myself in rescue as a young tot of under a year old. Eventually I found my way to Desert Haven and the good people there gave me safety and love until my new family found me and adopted me. That was a joyous day as you can imagine! I slipped right into having everything I deserved and boy was I grateful. Loving parents, children to look after and play with, cats, dogs, everything good in this world! I thanked my family for adopting me by being house trained, great in the yard, good with cats and dogs, and the best “nanny dog” around to my human children siblings. I especially love cats and am such a good cat friend. If my family had to think of the pitfalls of Living with Nutmeg it’s that I’m a tad clingy and love to be with my family in the middle of all the action. I’m very affectionate and a “Velcro dog” of sorts. Some might see this as a cross to bear and some folks love an attentive dog who is right by your side. If you’re the latter, then I am the dog for you! Speaking of attentive, I’m also very smart and learn easily. I know many commands and am eager to please. My family says I’m likely to be the best dog you’ve met! Aaand I do need to meet my new family, sadly. My parents split up and now my mom is a single mom with my toddler sister and has to work a lot and the stress of the separation is making me very noisy and stressed to be left alone. I’ve gone from playful, happy, and a great eater, to a pup that is depressed and sad. My mom is beside herself with guilt and grief of all her losses, namely my easy happiness, and she must get me to a new family. She has tried much to give me ways to relax while she’s gone long hours now but she too is under the constant stress of now providing on her own and she just can’t give me what I need. We are all super sad about it. SO! Here I am, Nutmeg! Needing a new family! I want my easy happiness back and I will do my new family very proud. Who gets to have me? Who gets a loving affectionate house-trained playful friendly girl who can fit into any family dynamic? Who will give me my second adoption which hopefully will be my last? Who wants to know the comfort I bring to my people, the love I share and give, the joy I offer? I am spayed and up to date on vaccinations. I am healthy. I am in need and I am ready. I am love. I am hope. I am Nutmeg. Will you be mine? Love, Nutmeg
