Name:  Oatmeal         Best Guess for Breed: Australian shepherd mix  Best Guess for Age:  5 months as of March 2026      SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight:   27 lbs as of 3/12/26; she is still growing!   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven’t seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Oatmeal is Looking For:   Her forever home! This young pup hasn’t seen enough of the world yet, and is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for lotds and lots of play time and sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. And puppy school so she can show how super smart she is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And she’ll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. And yeah, a new name. ‘Here, Oatmeal!’ at the dog park doesn’t do it for her.    In exchange, she promises love and loyalty for all her days. What do you say?
