Onyx (FCID 12/23/25 – 4) is a handsome, long-haired, four/five-month old kitten that is still learning that humans are safe. He’s nervous with new people and new situations, and he’ll need an adopter who understands that trust takes time. Once you get to know him, you’ll find that Onyx has a gentle, playful personality that starts to emerge once he feels secure.   Once he feels comfortable, Onyx loves to play – wand toys and balls on a track are his absolute favorites.  He also has a treasured toy basket, though he’s more interested in napping in it than the toys inside.  And though he won’t climb into your lap on his own, if you gently place him there, he relaxes, leans in, and purrs loudly to let you know he appreciates the attention.   Onyx would thrive in a calm home with patient adopters who will give him space to settle in and celebrate each small step forward. With kindness and consistency, this shy boy will show just how sweet he can be.   Onyx adores his foster sister Willow (FCID# 12/01/2025 – 3) and would be lost without her.  He very much hopes that he can find his forever home with her by his side.   He has briefly met other cats in his foster home and is very curious about them, never fearful.  He has not met dogs in his foster home.
