Name:  Ozzie         Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd mix   Best Guess for Age:  7 years as of February 2026        SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:  90 lbs; needs to lose a few   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters.   Currently Living at:  DC area home   All about Ozzie:   Ozzie arrived into our care back in 2019 and was adopted out very quickly. He has been in a very loving home since then, with a family who took great care of him. Through no fault of anyone at all, he now needs a new home.   His previous humans say he is a wonderful dog in the home and out. In the home – he’s your typical Very Good Boy. He likes his crate and goes in by himself to sleep – his family left the door open and he’d just come and go.   Out of the home, he is a good boy on leash too. He enjoys his walkies very much, especially meeting new people. He’s a leaner – will lean into people who pet him, loving the attention and the stroking. His playful romp days at the dog park are behind him; now he’s more into sniffing around the park, with the occasional burst of energy when a squirrel appears.   Ozzie is well out of the puppy yips and as a mature adult in his prime, he knows what is most important: Knowing he is safe and loved. Knowing where he belongs, knowing who his people are, and being a loyal companion to them. Will you be the lucky recipient of his love and loyalty? Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
