Name:  Paco       Best Guess for Breed:   Chihuahua mix Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of October 2025       SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight: 9.1 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   Puerto Rico shelter – needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get on a freedom flight up here!   Special adoption considerations:  Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Paco would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.Paco is Looking For:   His forever home! This sweetie is a sato – an island dog from Puerto Rico. He’s young, hasn’t seen nearly enough of the world, and is eagerly looking forward to getting his own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up! Most of all, though, he wants to know he’s safe and loved, where he belongs.In exchange, he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he’s storing up, and loyal companionship for all his days.
