See Paul: at the shelter’s HomepageGo to our official websiteYou can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Update: Paul is so sociable with other dogs now! he is picking up dog training skills so that he can be more pleasant in the house, but he still requires lots of exercise due to his retriever mix background. He can be visited at the Campbell County shelter, where he is hanging out and has recovered beautifully from his recently broken leg. We love Paul so much! Paul is the brother to Marigold. Paul came to us at the age of eight weeks after suffering a broken leg. His mother’s tether became tangled around his leg and snapped it. the last two months have been spent helping Paul recover from that broken leg. That’s not a great way to start your life when you’re an eight week old puppy. The good news, however: he has recovered from his broken leg injury, and we are thrilled that he did not require surgery. It was a long extensive recovery, however, because his bones grew quickly, and he had some problems with his cast rubbing sores on his leg. He has been declared healed, and has been rehabilitating on his own, using his leg as he can. He is an inspiration to all of us because he did not let the injury destroy his playful nature or his desire to be with humans. Paul has been exposed to chickens, ducks, cats, and loves other dogs. This is Paul. He’s about 12 weeks old now, and is ready for a home. Paul and his sister Marigold came from the same home but look very different. Their mom appears to be a retriever mix, and dad was a neighborhood wanderer apparently. The puppies have been in a foster home and are very well socialized! Paul is recovering from a broken leg, but it is healing well and he should have no issues following his cast removal in a few more days.” Paul has been through so much already! His leg became entangled in the chain that tethered his mom in the backyard, and was snapped cleanly, both tibia and fibula. The good news is that he is healing quickly and has a great life ahead of him, once he gets through this!
