Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Peaches #5 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). Peaches #5 | 12 weeks | Aussie Mix with playful confidence Peaches is an 11-week-old Aussie mix puppy with a confident, playful nature and a big zest for life. At 13 pounds, this girl with unique markings on her face is outgoing, sweet, and always ready to explore. She loves toys, enjoys car rides, and doesn’t let much slow her down. If something new or unexpected happens, Peaches takes it in stride and moves on like a pro. As a young puppy, Peaches is still learning house training and the basics of living in a home. She’s working on crate training and may whine or bark initially, especially when left alone, and she’s still building bladder control. She has been left crated for short periods (3–4 hours) and is making gradual progress. Typical puppy behaviors like play biting are present, and she’s learning what’s appropriate to chew, with food being a helpful motivator. Peaches has had positive interactions with other dogs, including large breeds, and would likely love having another dog in the home. She’s also doing well with cats—she may try to initiate play or chase but is learning boundaries. She hasn’t met children yet but shows no preference between men and women and is generally very social. Peaches will do best in an active, committed home ready to provide training, structure, and plenty of outlets for her energy as she grows. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $450 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here. Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
