PETRIE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:   Petrie        Best Guess for Breed:    Lab and terrier mix   Best Guess for Age:  6 months as of July 2024          SEX:     Female   Estimated Weight:   21 lbs as of 7/17/24; she is still growing!   Gets Along With:  Petrie loves other dogs! She has done wonderfully with kids she’s met on leash but hasn’t loved with them. We haven’t seen her with cats but she can be tested   Currently Living at:  DC area boarding partner; needs a foster or forever home! Petrie is Looking For:  Her forever home! Petrie is no longer a tiny, squishy puppy but she is still an older puppy and hasn’t seen nearly enough of the world. She is oh so eager to have her own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and world exploration! And for snuggles and cuddles and all those good things that come with being a well-loved dog. She’d also love to go to dog school so she can show off how super smart she is!   What do you say? Is Petrie the one you want to wake up to for many, many days to come? What the people taking care of her say about her: She’s an incredibly sweet girl, very sociable and loving with other dogs. Loves toys and to play fetch! Small but mighty! I honestly think dock diving when I think of Petrie because of the way she jumps off the bed with her arms straight out like a super hero, not afraid of where she lands! She loves cuddles so much, just loves all people and kids. She won the hearts of all our staff and myself. When we found her she was skin and bones and very shy- but she’s blossomed into a confident and curious girl that is 100% ready to have a family of her own. She would love her own foster or forever home — but we will happily be the stand-ins until she gets either!! Puppy Vetting Requirements:  Due to this puppy’s young age, she has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than August 20, 2024. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets.   Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.
