Critter Details

“Phee” is a typical puppy. Puppy energy combined with lots of snuggly naps. She is currently in a home with an adult male dog and has learned to take his cues to chill out around him. She walks pretty well on a leash and just likes to follow my dog. She’s curious about new people, cars driving by, strange noises, and dogs barking. She thinks everyone is here for her! She is learning to go potty outside. She’s almost mastered not peeing in her crate(if let out every 2-3 hrs) and is working on not pooping. Tummy trouble has set our training back a few days(not her fault). She has learned her crate is a safe place to be and is staying quiet all night long with the occasional soft whining after middle of the night potty breaks. She goes back in the crate  willingly with a few pieces of food sprinkled in. I’ve also been putting her in her crate for short periods of time while I’m home during the day to train her not to be anxious if her new owner just needs a minute! She loves playing with her soft toys and chewing on her Benebone. She is food motivated and has learned to “sit” with a food lure. She’s working on “down” and “come” as well. She’s excited to come running to humans. She takes my cues if she is doing something she shouldn’t when I say “eh eh” such as investigating my plants or going by my resident sub while he’s eating and usually stops and sits down. Her favorite thing to do is pickup leaves, sticks, and wood chips, so we’re going to be working on “leave it “ and “drop it” next. She also likes to chase and play with a rubber chuck it ball in the yard, so she’ll likely enjoy a game of fetch as she gets older! She doesn’t mind baths and actually likes putting her mouth in the shower spray and licking the water. She loves laying on her back and getting her belly rubbed, so I am working on desensitizing her to getting her nails clipped when she’s calm. She doesn’t even flinch so far at the sound or feeling of it! She’s just a very sweet, cute, playful puppy who will love to snuggle with you and be your companion!
