A LOYAL LITTLE BUDDY:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 18 lbs. & needs to lose a little weight Hi, my name is Pickles!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I’ve been busy making friends with the volunteers ever since.  I spent some time in the prison/foster training program off-site and learned a lot!  Now, I’m ready to find my very own family to love and be loved by! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I’ve met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and like them as long as there are not toys around, as I guard my toys from other dogs.  If you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals!  / Cats unknown. / I met two nice boys around 10 years old at Mostly Mutts and did well with them, though I was a bit weary when they rode a scooter near me.  A home with kids ages 10 and up could be a good fit for me.  Let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers all agree that I am a sweet, fun, playful and friendly guy who thrives on affection and attention!  I have a playful and fun demeanor that is sure to bring a smile to your face!  At bath time, I showed my appreciation with lots of kisses for my bather.  I’m expressive with my paws and will beg for attention or let you know that I’m overstimulated by pawing you.  When I’ve been overwhelmed (like in the shelter hallway during a busy shift) or during rough play, I’ve redirected my stress by going for a volunteer’s ankles.  My trainer recommends walking me with kibble in hand and telling me to “sit pretty” when I get overstimulated and this is working well.  I thrive under the great leadership of the trainers at Mostly Mutts.  / My energy level is 6-8.   • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  I respond well to the “sit pretty” command when I am overstimulated on a walk. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits are good in the prison/foster training program, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too! • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I absolutely love toys and a fun play session with my person.  Soft toys and bones are my favorites.  I enjoy walks, so hopefully there will be some nice walks together in my future with you.  The volunteers say I also enjoy just chilling with them on the bench in front of Mostly Mutts for extra cuddles and petting after my walks and to watch everything that’s going on. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for loving home with a good leader!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
