Pip the Fearless, Survivor of Evils, For Whom The Dark Holds No Fear, Heart of a Tiger, Pouncer of Mice, He of The Deafening Purr, The First of His Name. Pip has fought hard battles, but he's come out with his big heart still purring up a storm. Pip was rescued with his mom Peach and his older brother Apricot from CACC less than an hour before the family was set to be euthanized. The family had bad respiratory infections. His littermates had all already passed away. Luckly, the FFF team was able to scoop them up. Pip was wheezing, not gaining weight, and had terrible infections in his eyes. We didn't know if he would make it.But he DID! Pip is a tiny little fighter. With some foster love, he beat his infections and grew into a chubby pouncy purry little meanace of a kitten. At first, we thought his eye infections had left him blind. We now think he can see light vs dark and at least some movement. Once he learned the layout of his foster room, he could navigate and play so well that you'd never know he had any impairments. In a new home, Pip will need a little time to learn the floorplan. He will also be grateful if you pick toys with little bells or crinkly sounds in them. Otherwise, he's a regular healthy happy cat. Pip especially does well with his brother Apricot, the only surviver of an earlier litter from the same momma cat. The brothers are bonde and must be adopted together. Apricot has ben Pip's best buddy, big brother, nanny, and seeing-eye cat his whole life. Apricot was the one cleaning Pip up after meals and cuddling him to keep warm as a tiny baby. Apricot helped Pip learn to navigate the playroom with limited visit. When Pip gets confused, he always runs back to his brother's side. Now that Pip is healthy and bigger, Apricot is teaching him the fine art of wrestling. The two brothers' favorite spot to hang out is on the couch, pressed up against their foster mom's hip. They would spend all day cuddling, purring and wrestling right next to you if you let them. Don't you think you could get used to that?
