Hi there, my name is Pouneh and if you’re looking for a gentle, social, loyal friend — I’d love to be your girl. Here is some info about me: Breed: Spitz/Spaniel Age: 5 Years Gender: Female Size: 8 kg/17.5lb Current location: Middle East Energy Level: Moderate I get along with: Dogs and my rescuer says yes to kids but we would need to get video proof. I don't know about cats. Leash skills: yes. House trained: yes. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Adoption fee: $800.00 + tax. Possible passenger fee up to $350 Highlights: playful, intelligent, calm, affectionateAbout me – I am a gentle, social and loyal lady and I am looking for my forever home. I love to play with my dog friends and I love all type of humans, big and small. They think I am a possible Spitz/Spaniel mix, which means I can be playful and protective. I just give a few cute little, happy barks when guests arrive — then I settle. I’m house-trained to go in the yard and I walk nicely on a leash. I do get some separation anxiety, but I actually love my crate and feel safe there so I don’t have distructive tendencies. I ride calmly in the car so I can come with you on your adventures. I like to eat by myself. My story – My life started a bit rough. When I was just a tiny 4-month-old puppy, I spent time in a cage and later was tied in a yard, not really understanding why people weren't kind to me but then one day some kind people rescued me and brought me to safety. I found a home where I thought I'd find the love I was searching for but they couldn't take care of me. Then another home didn't take dog ownership as a long term commitment. I don't think I did anything wrong. I was sweet and loving but it didn't matter they gave me up so I came back. Now that little puppy is 5 years old… and still waiting for the right family that is ready to give me a forever home. I’m still hopeful. I know there’s a family who will finally keep me forever. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in – at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 – $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee.
