Hello!! My Name is Precious. I AM IN FOSTER AND NOT AT THE SHELTER! Please call the shelter to schedule a time to meet me!My foster mom reports that I love other dogs and they really help me to settle in at home. I am a timid little lady and the world feels very scary to me…but when I have a dog companion, I find my way and feel as if I belong. Because I find such comfort in other dogs, I am required to be adopted into a family who has a dog! I am one smart cookie and enjoy learning. My foster mom says I am currently working on: Sit, Shake, Other paw (when shaking), Lay down, Sit up, Off (counters, furniture, people), Leave it (when sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s being a pest to another dog or trying to take something that isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t hers), Drop it (when she already has the thing that isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t hers or when she picks up a mystery item in the yard, as well as when weâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re playing fetch and she returns with the ball/toy). Precious loves to learn and would do fantastic in a family who enjoys learning with her! She is a young dog with a busy brain and needs to use it! As she continues to grow and come out of her shell, training will help her feel smart, confident, and ready to take on the world. Other fun facts about Precious: she adores toys and playing fetch, as well as zooming all around the yard. Precious is already potty trained and crate trained. She is one snuggly little lady and will cuddle up for down time. Although Precious absolutely adores other dogs, she can be too rough when playing with small dogs (she loves them TOO much!). She will do best in a home with another dog that is at least her size or bigger. Precious also has two things she’d like to admit…she is a thief and she does not understand personal space! She enjoys finding random objects in order to tease her foster mom…when her foster mom tries to see what she has or ask her to drop it, Miss Precious takes off! She zooms away in excitement, proud of her sneaky ways and very much enjoying her silly game. As for personal space? Well, hopefully you do not require any; she likes to be as close to you as possible!Precious is a very special girl and will require multiple meet and greets due to her shy behavior and fear of strangers. She does warm up to new people! But it can take her a little to trust. If you are interested in Precious, call today to arrange an appointment to meet this wonderful girl!Few can resist a puppy. These adorable, soft bundles of energy are similar to four-legged children with tails. And like children, puppies need a lot of time, care, love, and patience. A puppy will depend on you for frequent and regular feedings and walks, for guidance and training, and for much of your time and your love. Before you plunge into puppy parenthood, make sure to research! There are many rewards to caring for a puppy, but there are also many requirements. Puppy classes are highly recommended for socialization and a positive transition into your home. Puppies love to learn how to be the best dog for your family! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog’s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $185.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
