Please contact Kady Hammer (KadyH@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Puppy Dog Eyes! QUENTIN NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!    Name:  Quentin            Best Guess for Breed: Terrier, Lab      Best Guess for Age:  11 weeks as of 3/1            SEX:  Male   Estimated Weight (puppies’ weights change quickly!):   8lbs as of 2/8   Gets Along With:  Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. We are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.   Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Quentin is Looking For:  Hiya! I’m Quentin! I’m looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. When I’m a little older, I can’t wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I’d really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for me? What My Foster Says About Me: Quentin has been the puppy with more personality than some tv shows! By day, he’s a stealthy army crawler, launching surprise attacks with a bunny hop straight to his target — which our resident 85 lb dog is never prepared for. And if he hears a new noise outside, Quentin doesn’t just listen — he lifts his paw like he’s about to file a formal complaint. You can follow Quentin along in his foster care adventures on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/arabellankirasfosterpups/ When he’s not planning his next playful ambush outside, he is usually in the garden with me, doing his best to ‘help’ with the weeds — though his version of weed removal is more digging than anything else! When he’s not on garden patrol or practicing his ninja moves, Quentin is a pretty good office assistant in terms of a puppy. He’s totally got the ‘working from home’ vibe down: after a solid morning play session with our resident dog , he’s either napping peacefully or amusing himself with toys, all while keeping a close eye on me. And when he needs a potty break he’s already figured out how to vocalize his need, when he’s in his crate or puppy pen. We are still working on remembering to tell me outside of the pen. And while the resident dog might pretend she’s not entirely thrilled with her foster puppy, it’s clear she loves him — so much so that she even asks to play with him, much to her dismay! As for the resident cat, the verdict is still out. Quentin’s been doing his best to win her over, offering his best puppy kisses in hopes of a favorable review, but the jury is still out. Quentin’s a little ball of mischief, cuteness, and charm, and has provided laughter every day!   Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.      Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than June 16, 2025. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets.   Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at        www.luckydoganimalrescue.org       .
