Name:   Rambo          Best Guess for Breed:  Shih-Tzu mix    Best Guess for Age:   11 years as of November 2025          SEX:   male   Approximate Weight:  9 lbs.   Gets Along With:  other dogs. We haven’t seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at: DC area foster home   Rambo is Looking For: At 11 years young, Rambo is a mellow gentleman who’s mastered the art of companionship. With his soft, expressive eyes and small dog charm, Rambo brings a quiet joy to any room he enters. Though he has lost most of his hearing, Rambo navigates the world with grace and curiosity. He responds beautifully to gentle touch, routine, and visual cues, making him an ideal match for someone who appreciates a slower pace and thoughtful connection. Rambo still has plenty of spirit but will likely thrive in a calm, predictable environment where love speaks louder than words. Rambo enjoys short strolls, cozy naps, and being near his favorite humans. He’s past the puppy chaos and prefers peaceful moments—perfect for retirees, homebodies, or anyone seeking a loyal, low-maintenance companion. He’s also a great candidate for households with older kids and gentle pets. If you’re looking for a sweet, soulful friend who will adore you quietly and completely, Rambo might just be your perfect match.  What My Foster Says About Me:  Rambo is equal parts playful, cuddly, and chill. He can no longer jump up on furniture or manage stairs but he still has energy and pep in his step. He loves going for walks and playing gentle fetch with his toys. Nothing phases him. At his first adoption event Rambo pranced right past all the big energetic dogs. He lives with my chihuahua and my 16-pound cat, who he is completely unbothered by. He rarely barks and sounds very cute when he does. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
