Critter Details

Meet Ransom, an 11 week old female German shepherd.  Ransom's name fits so well because she will steal your heart.  She is a well tempered, outgoing and playful girl.  Ransom is also quite confident.  She loves to play with other dogs but can be intimidated at first by a large dog size.  She is learning commands and is extremely smart and athletic.  She is learning to walk on leash and very inquisitive on her walks.  She is great in the car. Ransom is high drive and extremely athletic.  She will be a great dog for sport activities like agility, barn hunt, etc. to help channel her boundless energy.  She is a very enthusiastic learner. Ransom will also need an experienced handler who knows the breed and will continue her training and socialization.  She is not a good dog for a first time owner.   Ransom can be an only dog and would do well with a male companion dog. We will not place her in a home with a female dog.  She is fine with female dogs right now, but she is showing signs of being a typical dominant shepherd female and two females in a pack is not a good idea.  We are working on potty training and she is doing very well but still needs consistent outings.
