Reda is a gentle, playful little dog with a big heart and the sweetest gaze—you’ll know it when you see it. She locks eyes with you in a way that feels personal, like she’s saying “I’ve chosen you.” She loves sleeping under the covers, follows her person from room to room (yes, even the bathroom), and wants to be involved in every part of your day. She hasn’t been on a leash yet, so that will be something new for her to learn. The good news is she’s eager to please and very intelligent, so with a bit of patience, she’ll catch on quickly. She rides well in the car and loves playing with other small dogs—she’s social and fun, just with a slightly sensitive side. Reda would do best in a home without young children. She doesn’t like to be picked on or handled roughly, and would thrive in a calm environment with people who understand her gentle nature. She’s the kind of dog who bonds closely and gives her whole heart in return. Reda is from Texas.  This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease and is available through our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian.
