Meet Rico! Rico is a 10-pound Chihuahua mix with a gentle heart and a whole lot of love to give. He’s a very sweet, affectionate boy who forms a strong bond with his favorite person and would happily stay by their side 24/7. If his chosen person isn’t available, he’ll “settle” for others—though he makes it very clear who holds the top spot!Rico is currently working on potty and crate training and is making great progress. He’s learning to walk nicely on a leash and has had a few potty accidents as he adjusts, but he’s quickly catching on to going outside. During the day, he will nap in his crate when his people are away, and at night he prefers to be close to his humans.He is good with kids and has a very loving, gentle demeanor. Rico prefers being near people at all times and truly thrives in a home where companionship is plentiful. Some of his favorite things include sitting on or near his favorite person, enjoying treats, and soaking up belly rubs. He’s not a fan of cold weather and would much rather stay cozy indoors.Rico is a calm, lounge-loving pup about 98% of the time. The other 2%? He’s playful and adorable, chasing around, hopping up on his hind legs, and showing off a few twirls.The perfect home for Rico would be one where someone is home often and appreciates a true homebody companion.
