    Meet Rio!    Rio is a handsome, neutered, 10-month-old, Beagle weighing approximately 28 pounds, and he’s searching for his forever home. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but with slow introductions and a bit of patience, his sweet, playful, and affectionate personality quickly shines through.   Rio Valentine gets along with everyone and especially enjoys the company of small dogs. He plays beautifully with his foster Beagle sister and would love a canine companion, though it’s not a requirement. He loves toys, enjoys his daily walks, and is always happy to explore the great outdoors.    He’s crate trained, fully potty trained, and already knows a few basic commands – making him an easy and eager learner in his future home.    Medical Note: Rio Valentine has a cherry eye and is scheduled for corrective surgery.
