MEET RIVER Would you like a friend to go for a morning walk, hike or jog with you? I enjoybeing active and would love to keep you company! I take 1-2 mile walks severaltimes a day. I am athletic and would also love to play chase in the yard withanother young dog! My name is River. I am a 2.9 year old, female, mixed lab witha fox red coat. I am looking for my forever home! I was undergoing heart worm treatment for a few months so I wasn’t allowed tobe active. Recently, I’ve had the chance to live my best life! I started to play witha neighbor dog and it is so much fun! You should see us chase one another allover the yard! I am fast, agile and friendly when we have play dates.! I will needone final heart worm check-up in January to officially be declared heart wormfree! I would enjoy living with someone who can be patient and get to know me. In mylast home I was only given four days to adjust before I was given back because Ibarked too much. I do bark to say hello to other dogs when I’m on a walk orlooking out the window. Sometimes I pull on the leash too. I’m smart though andI’m learning to settle so I can get a treat! I love to be around ladies. They make me feel safe as soon as I meet them. I takea few minutes to warm up to gentlemen. I may bark at them to see how theyreact. I’m learning that they are kind too! I love to sit next to my foster dad onthe sofa. He gives me belly rubs while I fall asleep next to him! I am always opento snuggling and any attention you will give me. I enjoy being around kids when Imeet them on my walks. I could share a house with older children who won’t bebothered by my barking. I’ve heard I’m a sweetheart and don’t want to upsetanyone! Now let’s talk about cats. I’ve seen them in my yard and I bark at them. Two cats live across the street and I’m happy not to have to share my house withthem. I’m a trustworthy gal and I don’t need to be in a crate when I’m home alone. Ienjoy chewing on bones and ripping apart stuffed toys, so don’t worry aboutleaving your shoes laying around! I like to sleep at night on my dog cushion or thesofa while the humans sleep upstairs. Have I mentioned that I’m house trainedtoo? One more thing… I love to go on car rides. Would you like to take me on aride to my FURever home?
