Meet River, He is a one year old Shepherd Mix, he is a large dog of around 65 pounds. River was found at a campsite and surrendered into rescue. His past is unknown but we do know is that he has one bright future ahead of him. We also know that he is such a handsome boy he has that beautiful Shepherd look. He is a looker from every angle and people will want to get to know him. His looks will draw them in and his personality will make friends instantly.River will thrive with his forever family as long as there is a committed to working with him on his crate, leash and house training. He just wants to make his forever family happy. What does make him happy is having the company of other dogs, children and adults. He prefers not to have the company of cats so River will need a home that does not have a feline family member. However, he is full of personality and spunky energy that goes with a fun loving teenager. He is in the prime of his life looking for all the fun that life can offer him. He will be a great dog to take on hikes, walks around the neighborhood, playing ball in the yard or at the park or just snuggling on the couch.
