Name:  Rockie       Best Guess for Breed:   Australian shepherd and Shepherd mix  Best Guess for Age:   6 months as of October 2025        SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:   24 lbs as of 10/26/25 – he is still growing!   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter – needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Rockie is Looking For: His forever home! Rockie is at the tail end of puppyhood and has all that awesome young-dog energy. He is eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks and romps with pup pals and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. Most of all, though, he wants to know he is safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he has, and loyal companionship for all his days.
