Critter Details

Roo is an 8-month-old mixed breed pup. He might be a Rhodesian Ridgeback or hound mix, and was found by vacationers in South Carolina in a box. His striking blue eyes might be due to some husky ancestry. He lives with a 70-year-old owner who is physically unable to manage his strength and energy. Due to her physical limitations, she cannot walk him on leash without assistance and he is becoming frustrated and anxious in the home. Roo is very smart and energetic, and is in need of a home that will provide him with plenty of exercise and enrichment! He is quite treat motivated, and is able to pick up new skills quickly. He is house trained but needs work on crate training using positive reinforcement techniques. He has met a few dogs and did fine, and will do more testing soon. He has also been around children, but needs to work on not jumping and mouthing. He has not been around cats. He needs to find his new adventure buddy soon, as his current situation is not a good match for either Roo or his owner.
