Name: Root Beer         Best Guess for Breed: Hound and collie mix  Best Guess for Age:  1 year 4 months as of January 2026        SEX: Female   Approximate Weight:   40 lbs   Gets Along With: Other dogs! (And maybe cats!) We haven’t seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home   Root Beer is Looking For:   Her forever home! This pretty girl has all that awesome young-dog energy to burn and she’s eager to get her own humans for that. Long sniffy walks, romps in parks, all the adventures they can dream up – yes, please! Making pup pals along the way is on her wish list as well, along with quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. And at the end of a fun day together – cuddles.But most of all she wants to know where she belongs, to be safe and loved. In exchange, she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for her all days. What do you say?
