Please contact Lowell Nelson (lowelln@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet shy boy seeking fresh start and love! ROSCOE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Roscoe        Best Guess for Breed: Yellow lab mix Best Guess for Age:  11 months as of July 2024       SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:   35 lbs as of 7/1/24; might have just a bit more to grow   Gets Along With:   Other dogs! Roscoe has lived in a home with cats.   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter. Roscoe needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get his freedom ride up here!   Special Adoption Considerations: Roscoe is shy and must go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. We would be cautious placing Roscoe in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare shy dogs with their level of energy or noise.  Children would need to be supervised closely to not leave doors open and should never walk the dog without an adult holding the leash.  We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant Roscoe is Looking For:   His forever home! Roscoe wants nothing more than to trot through the world with all the confidence of a well-loved dog. He is eager to burn off all that awesome young-dog energy with romps in parks, long sniffy walks, and all the adventures his humans can dream up. Thing is, he hasn’t seen nearly enough of the world yet and right now he’s shy. He needs extra loving and patient adopters who will help him explore at his pace, and a welcoming resident dog who will show him how to dog.  Most of all, though, he wants to know where he belongs – and to be safe and loved under his own roof. In exchange, he promises to give adoring gazes, to make his humans laugh, and to be a loyal companion for all his days.   What do you say? Does Roscoe get to spend his life with you?
