Sadie is likely an Australian Shepherd or Kelpie mix who came to the Shelter after living in a home with a family and two other dogs. They found her as a stray several months previous, so even they didn’t know her very well. She enjoyed spending time indoors and outdoors and is still perfecting the art of potty training. Sadie is a little shy but once she is comfortable with people, she is a sweetheart. Sadie is looking for a patient adopter and a home where she’ll have space, time and love to help her get comfortable and really blossom. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering â&#194&#128&#194&#156Pawsitivity Bucksâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw!Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end â&#194&#128&#194&#156meet and greetsâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
