While at a local mobile home park to pick up a dog due to the owner's declining health, Scott Bennett was told about a litter of pups that were abandoned at the dumpster within the park. When he went to check on those pups, he came across yet another litter of very young pups that had been abandoned by their previous owner. That litter, just barely 6 weeks old, were all huddled together within a small makeshift pen. There was nothing to shield the pups from the hot sun.  Scott knew if he left these pups there that they would most likely die, so he had the manager of the park sign them over to SoCo Rescue. We're happy to report that all five of the pups made a full recovery.    Saige was one the pups that came from that litter. Once you met this little girl, you'lll know exactly why the efforts to save her and her littermates was well worth the effort. Saige is very friendly, playful and simply loves people. With proper training and love, Saige will only bring pure happiness into the lives of whoever adopts her.    Saige will have received all of her first year "puppy" vaccinations, de-wormings and other required care. She's also ben started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Her adopter must agree to having Saige spay once she reaches 6 months of age and provide SoCo with verification of such. Saige will need all of her basic training.
