Name:  Samantha       Best Guess for Breed:   Chihuahua mix Best Guess for Age:  5 years as of March 2025       SEX: Female   Approximate Weight:  4 pounds 12 ounces   Gets Along With:   Samantha gets along with other dogs. We haven’t seen her with cats but are happy to discuss how to integrate them if you have them. We would be cautious placing her in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare small breed dogs with their level of energy or noise.  Children would need to be supervised closely to ensure their interactions with the dog are calm and gentle in nature.  We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant.   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here.   Samantha is Looking For: Her forever home! This tiny pup landed in the shelter through no fault of her own, but she has closed that chapter and is looking forward to her new one. The one where she once again has her own humans, where she knows she’s safe and loved. She has so many adoring gazes, so many tail wags to bestow upon her new family, and promises loyal companionship for all her days.    What do you say?
