Name: Samari Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair Age: 4 Months as of 1/17/26 Est. DOB: 9/04/25 SEX: Female Weight: 3.7 lbs as of 1/5/26 Coloring: Calico Type of Hair: Short Gets Along With: Because of her young age, Samari will likely get along with other cats, dogs and kids with an acclimation period. We’re happy to help with tips and tricks! Currently Living at: Shelter — Coming to the DC Area Soon! I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I’m Samari, and I am a cute little kitten! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be my kitten self. Two kittens are better than one – consider adopting one of my super cute siblings too! What the Shelter Says About Me: Samari is a truly unique calico kitten, with bold black and orange markings beautifully accented by white on her chest and tiny feet. At approximately 4 months old, she may be small, but she already has the confidence and personality of a grown cat! Samari had a rough start in life after developing an upper respiratory infection that caused her upper and lower conjunctiva in her right eye to fuse together. Thanks to a quick veterinary procedure and a course of antibiotic eye drops, she now has use of both eyes. (One eye may remain slightly clouded from residual tissue, but she has adapted. She has no trouble keeping up with her foster siblings or pouncing on her favorite toys.) This confident little girl clearly runs the show in her foster mom’s office, day and night. Samari is incredibly sweet and especially enjoys visits from her foster mom’s grandsons. She loves being cradled like a baby just as much as she enjoys wrestling her toy mouse. Despite her tiny size, Samari has a great appetite and much prefers her morning and evening meals of Fancy Feast over dry kitten chow. She has been living happily with two older foster siblings and would thrive in a home with human and feline companions to continue her joyful, playful life. Samari is ready to bring confidence, cuddles, and fun to her forever home! What my Foster Says About Me: Coming soon!
