Critter Details
Charmingly well-loved stuffed animal? Adorable cryptid? No, it's just Samie! This delightful little man was recently returned to PAWS due to an unexpected change in his adopters' circumstances, but he settled into his foster home easily and now he's looking for another home that will give him lots of love and attention. Samie warms up to new people quickly and is friendly and easygoing once he knows you. He's a senior gent who won't skip his afternoon nap time, but he's also happy to explore or play with toys when the opportunity presents itself. He likes attention and doesn't mind being picked up or brushed – very important, since he needs regular brushing (and a quick face wipe every now and then) to keep him in tip-top adorable shape! Like most senior cats, Samie has a few ongoing health issues, number one of which is chronic kidney disease. This is a progressive condition that will never go away, but a special diet and supplemental fluids (injected under his skin with a needle – very fast and easy!) are helping him keep a good quality of life. The best home for Samie will be prepared to continue his current care plan and work with their own vet to make sure that he's continuing to do well. In return, he'll keep you smiling every day with his funny face and cute antics! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any other questions about Samie and his needs!
