Age: ~8 months Brown Tabby (Simon/Samuel) & Black Medium-Hair (Garfunkel) Bonded Pair – Must be adopted together Ready to bring some harmony into your life? Meet Samuel (aka Simon) and Garfunkel – two young, inseparable feline friends full of charm, energy, and affection. Simon is a handsome brown tabby with a curious spirit and a playful heart. Garfunkel, his sleek black buddy, rocks ear tufts and fluffy toe fur that will absolutely steal your heart (and possibly your socks). These 8-month-old boys are all about fun and friendship — with each other and with people. They’re friendly with everyone they meet and have done well with other cats, though we recommend slow introductions, as always. While dogs are an unknown, their confident, social nature suggests they might do well with respectful pups too. Wand toys? Say no more — these two will flip, leap, and twist mid-air like furry little acrobats. Their playful energy is contagious, and they’re guaranteed to make you smile every single day. They were left behind in an apartment and found their way into rescue.  Simon & Garfunkel are ready to find their audience — a loving home where they can continue their duet of snuggles, zoomies, and adorable antics. Double the cats, double the love — and trust us, these two are totally in sync. He must be adopted with his brother Garfunkel Samuel is a local stray. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
