While at a local mobile home park to pick up a dog due to the owner's declining health, Scott Bennett was told about a litter of pups that were abandoned at the dumpster within the park. When he went to check on those pups, he came across yet another litter of very young pups that had been abandoned by their previous owner. That litter, just barely 6 weeks old, were all huddled together within a small makeshift pen. There was nothing to shield the pups from the hot sun.  Scott knew if he left these pups there that they would most likely die, so he had the manager of the park sign them over to SoCo Rescue. We're happy to report that all five of the pups made a full recovery.    Sasha was the smallest pup from this litter but seems to have the biggest amount of love to give. She immediately became attached to our staff and has continued to be very well socialized towards people. She loves to play with her siblings, also appears to be very smart and, no doubt, will make a great addition into almost any home situation.   Sasha will have received all of her first year "puppy" vaccinations, de-wormings and other required care. She's also been started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Her adopter must agree to having Sasha spay once she reaches 6 months of age and provide SoCo with verification of such. Sasha will need all of her basic training.
