She was rescued from a families yard with her six newborn kittens.  Although she was found outside, she never behaved like a feral cat. She allowed us to hold her like a baby, pet her and play with her kittens  from the minute we met her.  She has been a very busy and attentive momma for the last four months teaching the babies everything they need to know. The kittens were weaned recently. Scarlett is a young cat herself and loves to play with feather sticks, springs and mice when she has a free minute.  She will follow you around the house and sit next to you but is not a lap cat yet. She is very ready to be the center of attention. She has been introduced to a family dog uneventfully but has not been friendly to other cats at this point as she is very protective of her babies. We do not know how she will behave with young children. Give her a chance to be part of your family and Scarlet will make a wonderful companion. She is always happy to see us and give and receive love. All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV , and up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and dewormer. You can meet some of our adorable cats and kittens during store hours at PetSmart, 385 Haggerty Rd. in Commerce Township.
