Please contact Caitlin Finn (caitlin.finn@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet small girl seeking fresh start and love! SEISTA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:  Seista        Best Guess for Breed:  Chihuahua mix  Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of October 2024        SEX: Female   Approximate Weight:  13.6 lbs   Gets Along With:   Seista does well with other dogs. We haven’t seen her with cats but she can be tested. We would be cautious placing her in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare small breed dogs with their level of energy or noise.  Children would need to be supervised closely to ensure their interactions with the dog are calm and gentle in nature.  We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant.    Currently Living at:   DC area foster home    From Seista’s Foster:   I love everything about Seista. She’s simply happy and loving. And the chain of black blotches running diagonally down her back is a work of art.     In the home, she is wonderful! Entertains herself well with plush dog toys of every size and enjoys carrying them from one place to another Hasn’t chewed on anything she shouldn’t Hasn’t had any potty accidents in the home Sleeps overnight in her crate and is in there when I’m out of the home with no issues And she is the perfect WFH companion. When I’m working she settles on a dog bed on the floor next to me. She’ll follow me if I move around, but will settle if I keep moving. But if I sit and look at her – she’s right there, knowing it’s time for her to get some attention. She loves being petted, loves snuggling up next to me. She has been very respectful of my dogs since she arrived, and has done well passing other dogs on leash. If a dog she meets is overly bold, she quickly becomes submissive.    Her first walk on medium-busy city streets here in DC, she froze a few times and looked to me for reassurance. When I gave it, she followed trustingly and on subsequent walks, was more relaxed. She bonds quickly to her humans, and trusts them to take care of her. She’s also food motivated and eager to please, so training her will be fun.   Seista is a gem, and her forever family will be so lucky to have her.   Seista is Looking For:   Her forever home! This sweetie is in her prime as a young adult dog and eager to have her own humans  – she wants nothing more than to know she’s safe and loved, to know where she belongs. She’s up for pleasant walks and all the snuggles she can get. She will be fine as the only dog in a home or with other dogs.    Seista has so much love and loyalty to give. What do you say? Will you be the lucky recipient?
