Shelby has classic black-and-tan German Shepard markings and is the perfect size for adventures and snuggles.She’s been patiently waiting for her forever home since last December.She’s a loving, affectionate dog, but was surrendered due to ongoing sibling rivalry with her sister. This is called littermate syndrome and can happen when two puppies are raised together without enough individual time, structure, and training. With proper guidance, boundaries, and one-on-one attention, Shelby can become the smart, loyal pet she was meant to be.Her sister Hemi has been adopted, so it’s Shelby’s turn to shine.During her day trip, she loaded into the car independently with just a few encouraging words and tasty treats. After some time spent practicing, she improved greatly, proving that she’s intelligent and willing to learn.At PetSmart, she picked out a beautiful purple collar on her own! Now she has room to grow and continue building confidence. She is treat-motivated, eager to please, and already learning basic commands like â&#194&#128&#194&#156sitâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 and â&#194&#128&#194&#156wait.â&#194&#128&#194&#157With consistency and positive reinforcement, she will excel in training.Most of all, Shelby is a sweet, affectionate girl.
