See Shelby- special girl!’s HomepageGo to our official websiteYou can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Shelby is a sweet girl who is looking for a new home. She is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ with a foster or adopter.  Meet Shelby — your new shadow, snuggle expert, and full-time best friend  At just 1–2 years old and 38 pounds, Shelby is the perfect “just right” size—big enough for solid cuddles, small enough to fit perfectly beside you (or on you… she has opinions about personal space). Shelby’s story hasn’t been the easiest. She walks with an adorable little wobble thanks to what we believe is an old gunshot injury from her past. But here’s the thing about Shelby: she didn’t let it take her spirit. Not even close. This girl gets around just fine, and that little wobble? It just makes her extra special—like she’s dancing through life in her own unique rhythm. She’s doing wonderfully with house training, gets along great with other dogs, and lives for being with her person. And when we say “Velcro baby,” we mean it in the most loving way possible. Shelby will happily follow you from room to room, supervise all your daily activities, and remind you that you are never alone (even in the bathroom… especially in the bathroom). Her favorite hobbies include: •       Cuddling on the couch •       Snuggling in bed •       Following you literally everywhere •       Being the sweetest, most devoted companion you could ask for Shelby doesn’t need perfect legs—she just needs a perfect heart to love her. And she has so much love to give right back. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, slightly wobbly, 100% wonderful best friend… Shelby is your girl  Apply to meet Shelby and see just how special she is.   Shelby will be fixed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and negative for heartworm. Her adoption donation will be $450. &#226&#128&#139- Adopting an animal is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these animals have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me!
