Name:  Sheldon        Best Guess for Breed: Shih tzu and Yorkie mix Best Guess for Age:  3 years as of July 2024        SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:  coming soon!   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested   Currently Living at:  Texas shelter; scheduled to arrive in the DC area Saturday August 3   Sheldon is Looking For:  His forever family! This sweet small boy landed in the shelter through no fault of his own. He’s eager for his new chapter, the one where he gets his own humans for long sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. He’d also like adopters who understand his long coat needs daily brushing and regular professional grooming – he arrived heavily matted and had to be shaved down. Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed are high on his wish list as well but what he wants most of all is to know he’s safe and loved and under his own roof.    In exchange, he promises adoring gazes and cuddles and loyal companionship for all his days.
