Name: Silas Jr Best Guess for Breed: Lab and basset hound mix Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of January 2026 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 31 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Silas Jr. is Looking For: His forever home! This stubby legged cutie is eager to get his own humans for sniffy walks and romps and all those amazing adventures! And quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. He’d like to make pup pals along the way as well. But you know what he wants most of all? To be safe and loved, to know where he belongs. He has so many adoring gazes, so much love and loyalty to give in return. What do you say? Can you see this elongated little guy down there by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: Silas Jr. has been such a fun addition to his foster home! He enjoys being around people and has done well meeting other dogs out on walks. He’s been a polite houseguest so far and is settling into home life nicely. Silas Jr. is currently building great foundations with house routines and crate time, and he’s making progress each day. He’s also starting to learn the basics and would love a family excited to continue helping him grow and learn. He enjoys getting out and about, especially when there are new sights and smells to explore, and would likely thrive in a home with space to play and stretch his legs. Playful and expressive, Silas Jr. brings lots of personality to the table and doesn’t hesitate to let you know when he’s ready for some fun. He’s been a joy to foster, and his foster family is happy to share more about him to help him find the perfect match. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.
