Name: Slim JIm        Best Guess for Breed:   Beagle and shepherd mix Best Guess for Age: 6 months as of July 2025      SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:  35 lbs as of 7/1/25 – he is still growing!   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.    Slim Jim is Looking For:    His forever home! This sweetie is at the tail end of puppyhood and ready to see the world! He’s eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And he’ll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Most of all, though, he wants to know he’s safe and loved.
