Smudge is a tough-looking boy with the purest heart, gorgeous eyes, and a tender meow! His favorite thing is to cuddle up in his foster mom's lap. She says, "He full blown runs to the couch or my bed to snuggle, and then just lays on me. It's pretty damn endearing." He's also been incredibly gentle with her resident cats — he's respectful and polite with any cat he's come across. So if you're looking for a calm boy lapcat, Smudge is your man! Smudge is still a little anxious around unfamiliar noises and situations, which is understandable given his rough past. We found him with a local colony, waiting for everyone to finish their food before he ate the scraps. He'd get beaten up regularly (the scrape on his nose is healing well). When we finally rescued him, we were delighted to find out about his sweet nature. He'll do well as a solo cat or as a companion to a resident cat. Smudge is about 1 year old. He's healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, treated for parasites and fleas, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
