Solovino may have started out as a stray, wandering the neighborhood alone, but he's quickly learned that life is much better with love, play, and plenty of snacks! At first, Solovino can be a little unsure around new people, but give him just a couple of minutes and he’ll warm right up. Once he knows you’re a friend, his playful, goofy side comes out—and it’s impossible not to smile. He’s vocal when he’s having fun, whether he’s chasing a ball or dashing around the yard, and he puts on the funniest little "performance" when he sees you eating, hoping for a bite of your snack. (Yes, he’s got a flair for the dramatic—and yes, it works.) Solovino absolutely loves to play fetch and be chased, especially when he's carrying a toy that's just a bit too big for his mouth—he gives it his all anyway! Despite the rough shape he was in when he first came into rescue (dirty and underweight), he's proven to be incredibly resilient, easy-going, and adaptable. Solovino would fit well in almost any home—he’s not picky, as long as there's love, playtime, and maybe a taste of your sandwich now and then. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate, and entertaining companion, Solovino just might be your perfect match. Solovino is from Texas. This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease and is available through our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian. Click Here to learn more about heartworm disease. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
