To ensure Spoons #1 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 72 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Spoons #1 | 1-Year-Old Terrier Mix | Your Future Snuggle Buddy Spoons is an adorable young Terrier mix with the perfect combination of playful puppy energy and affectionate cuddles. He's happiest going for walks, chasing a ball in the yard, or curling up next to his favorite people—or even better, another dog—for a cozy nap. This handsome tuxedo boy has made wonderful progress in foster care. He's almost fully house trained with a consistent routine and is doing great with crate training. While he may whine for a minute when left alone, he settles quickly and can comfortably spend 4–6 hours crated while you're away. Spoons loves his daily walks and has lovely leash manners, naturally staying close to his person without pulling. New dogs can make him a little nervous at first, especially larger dogs, but once he gets to know them, he's a sweet and playful companion. He gets along well with other dogs after a proper introduction and has also done well with cats. Like any young pup, Spoons is still learning his manners. He can be a little mouthy during play and enjoys testing boundaries now and then, but he's eager to learn, highly food motivated, and responds well to patient, consistent guidance. When it's time to relax, Spoons is an expert cuddler. He loves stuffed Kongs, chewing on bones, belly rubs, and has an adorable habit of resting his head on you or offering his paw for extra affection. His daily zoomies and goofy personality are guaranteed to make you smile. Spoons would love a home with a securely fenced yard and another friendly dog to help build his confidence. Most of all, he's looking for a family ready to continue his training and give him the love and structure every puppy deserves. In return, you'll gain a loyal best friend who will happily be by your side through every adventure.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $400. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
