Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs – but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 06/13/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Lovingly surrendered by owners Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Stella is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Stella has Addison's Disease. This is a disease of the adrenal glands. It is well controlled but DOES REQUIRE MEDICINE. Stella takes 1mg of prednisone each day and can be picked up at a pharmacy for around $5 a month. She also receives a Zycortal injection on the 1st of every month (.31). This must be done by your veterinarian. Weight: 45 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $1 – I am priceless Fence needed? Yes, Stella requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. This happy, active girl LOVES to run and play with your other dog(s) and your kid(s). What kind of home would be best for me? Stella’s perfect home would be one that celebrates her joy, understands her medical needs (which are completely manageable), and gives her plenty of opportunities to love and be loved—especially with a furry or sibling or two. Her happily ever after has a family that can manage her ongoing medication, children, and at least one other happy, active dog. Stella doesn’t need much—just a family that sees her not for her diagnosis, but for the joyful, playful, radiant soul she is. What is my personality like? Meet Stella – The Happy-Go-Lucky Girl with a Soft Spot for Kids! If sunshine had four legs and a tail, her name would be Stella. This bubbly, affectionate Standard Poodle is the very definition of joy. With her big goofy grin, springy prance, and a heart that seems to beat just for love and laughter, Stella lives every day like it’s her best one yet. Whether she’s flopping onto the couch for snuggles or chasing zoomies around the yard with a new friend, giving kisses to the kids, Stella is a walking, wagging celebration of life. Diagnosed with Addison’s Disease, Stella takes it all in stride. She’s on a manageable routine of medications and regular care—and in return, she gives back something medicine can’t buy -unwavering love, comic relief, and the ability to turn your worst day around with one silly look. Her condition doesn’t slow her down one bit. If anything, it’s made her all the more grateful for the good things in life: warm laps, kind humans, and most importantly… other dogs! Stella is a true dog’s dog. She lives for a playmate. Big or small, puppy or adult, bouncy or mellow—if they’re willing to play or snuggle, she’s all in. In fact, we believe Stella would be happiest in a home with another canine companion to romp around with. She thrives on friendship and finds confidence in having a furry friend by her side. She'll nudge them into a game of chase, flop dramatically into a pile of play bows, and then happily curl up next to them when it’s time to nap. And when it comes to people Stella’s love knows no bounds—but she has a very special place in her heart for children. She absolutely adores kids! Whether they’re playing in the yard, reading on the couch, or just walking by, she’s gentle, patient, and full of tail wags and kisses. She’s the kind of dog who seems to instinctively know when to be calm and cuddly or goofy and playful—making her an incredible companion for little ones. If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts heart and hilarity, and whose happiness is truly contagious, Stella might just be your girl. She’s ready to bring laughter, loyalty, and a whole lot of love to the lucky home that scoops her up. How do I act when I first meet new people? Other tips and tidbits: Stella was born on our about 06/13/2021. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note – we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you – poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.
