Meet Sunny! &#226&#152&#128&#239&#184&#143 This sweet, lovable puppy was rescued alongside her mom and five siblings from a rural shelter. Fortunately, they made it into rescue early and have been raised in a safe, loving foster home where they’ve thrived. Sunny is a 17-week-old Poodle/Staffie mix who brings together the best of both breeds; she’s smart, affectionate, and playful. She's already crate trained and potty trained (Good girl, Sunny!) and has a moderate energy level. While she enjoys walks and playtime, she’s not a high-energy, “runner’s dog,” and is perfectly content with regular daily activity. Sunny is still waiting for a family of her own. She was diagnosed with a condition called Congenital Lymphoedema that causes leg swelling due to issues with her lymphatic system. Cases range from mild to severe, and dogs with milder cases can live perfectly normal lives. While her condition cannot be cured, it can be managed with an inexpensive over-the-counter supplement called Rutin, and she needs to be kept on a better quality dog food with a higher protein ratio.  Currently, Sunny’s swelling is almost gone, and she romps and plays like any other puppy. The swelling will likely come and go, but it doesn’t slow her down. Sunny is a fabulous, adaptable, affectionate pup who loves everyone she meets. She’s great with other dogs, does well with cats, and is gentle with kids. Sunny would love to have a canine companion to play and bond with in her future home.
