See Sven’s HomepageGo to our official websiteYou can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sven is a big boy who found himself unwanted and on death row in a high kill shelter in West Texas.  He gets along well with other dogs as long as they aren’t snarky.  He does not like cats or livestock. He is good with all people… caution with young children only due to size. He LOVES kids and gently approaches them, however he could knock them over when he turns around or if he was running in a yard.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.Sven is currently in boarding and is enjoying having many friends to play with. He is super social and friendly with all sizes of dogs and people He enjoys a good walk or better yet jogging. He is a wonderful conversationalist and singer so shared walls would not be ideal for this boy.  He doesn’t mind if your lap is too small, he will plop himself down in it anyway and snuggle with you. He rides well in the car, you would hardly know he is there, however he can a trail of floof behind of fur to show how good he was. Sven’s favorite treats so far have been string cheese and DQ ice cream, so don’t try to pull a fast one on him and not share. He likes to chew on Rachel Ray Soup Bones and Nubz or the like.  While we have found many things he does like, he does not like fish. So you will have to settle on good conditioners and coconut oil for his beautiful coat.  He is a character with the sweetest face and wonderful temperment. He knowns sit and down and is eager to learn with the right treats. He would love a fenced yard to hang out when the weather is perfect. He doesn’t mind rain, he will still go out and do his business. He is kennel trained and housebroken. He would be a perfect addition to a home with a fenced yard where he can run around and lounge in the sun when weather is appropriate.  First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vet visit.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.
