Name:   Sweetie         Best Guess for Breed:   Lab Mix   Best Guess for Age:  11 months as of 10/17/25        SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:   34 lbs as of 10/17/25 – might have a tiny bit more to grow   Gets Along With: Other dogs!We haven’t seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations:  Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Because Sweetie is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes.   Meet Sweetie:    This lovable lab mix is sugar, spice, and everything nice. She’s coming all the way from Puerto Rico to Washington, DC, ready to melt hearts faster than a popsicle in July.
