Sy is a young shy girl with a sweet disposition. She’s had a very rocky start to life so she is not recommended for a first time owner or a home with small children. She loves other dogs and would love to have a playmate about her size (35lbs). Due to the herding breed in her, small dogs and cats wouldn’t enjoy sharing a home with her. Foster mom is so proud of her because she’s doing amazing on potty training. Sy walks well on leash, but needs confidence building with noises and people as she’s out on walks. We’re working on crate training with Sy which is a MUST because she is truly still a baby at heart and likes to chew on things that aren’t hers if left unattended. Sy is only 10 months old. She also respects a well placed baby gate which is good for keeping her close to you while you work on what she can and can’t chew on. Toys of all kinds bring her great joy, but don’t expect stuffies to last forever. Who doesn’t love a good shred session with a stuffed toy?! Her double coat will require regular brushing to keep her mat free. Foster mom says she’s been doing well with learning to be brushed and she likes to give kisses while she’s being pampered. To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $200 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs. We do not ship dogs. All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.
