Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs – but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue:1/24/25 Reason for being in rescue: Stray from Union SC Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Teddy was found as a stray so we have no idea what his genetics may be. Our best guess is a golden-doodle – only a DNA test will confirm. Given this, we cannot confirm that he is 100% poodle and cannot guarantee that he's hypoallergenic or won't shed. We can promise he's 100% adorable! Weight: 39 lbs Height: 20 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Meet Teddy Edwards! Ted-Ward or Teddy for short! He is a precious soul with a heart full of potential! Teddy thrives off of human affection and connection and he is best suited in a home where his humans will be home more than they are away. Teddy is a vert playful dog and requires another large breed canine companion in the home to keep him company. He does not like to be alone and loves attention from humans and other dogs. Teddy would also do well with older, considerate children who will play with him and keep him active and entertained! Teddy Edwards would make an amazing family dog and will benefit most from a family who will include him in their active lifestyle and continue to socialize him as he develops into an adult. It is important that Teddy gets lots of human interaction to keep him happy as he adores the company of his humans. He's an easy going boy who wants to be the absolute center of your world! What is my personality like? Teddy is a friendly, social butterfly who enjoys human affection. He is a people pleaser at heart and is constantly beneath your feet waiting for love and attention. Whether it's going for a hike, soaking up belly rubs or even just playing a game of fetch, Teddy is happiest when he is with humans. He is full of love and energy and doesn't meet a stranger! He wants a family who will take him on adventures, teach him new tricks and shower him with constant love and affection. Teddy is smart and eager to please which makes him a highly trainable. His enthusiasm and zest for life is so contagious and when you're around this sweet boy there's no doubt he will instantly melt your heart! He's very easy going and is very well behaved for his caregivers as well. If you're looking for a best friend that will make you laugh every day and become your most loyal companion, Teddy Edwards is eating to meet you. This boy is stealing hearts everywhere he goes! How do I act when I first meet new people? Teddy is a very social and friendly dog around new people and typically does not meet a stranger. He will open right up to you or your family and instantly begin begging for cuddles and attention. He is a people dog and it is no secret! It is possible and for him to be a little nervous at first, but he will quickly offer over his trust (and kisses!) Other tips and tidbits: Teddy was found as a stray, so we have absolutely no history on him. Based on his overall health and condition he is estimated at under a year old. We celebrate his birthday 3/30/24. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note – we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you – poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.
